...and the results are in!

If you will remember our post from September 2nd, Mrs. Mennicke's Seventh Grade Science Class conducted an experiment on Keeping Flowers Fresh.  The class hypothesized which they thought would keep flowers freshest the longest, water alone, or sugar water.  Below are the results!
  • 18 students hypothesized that the sugar would keep the flowers fresher longer, and 13 were correct and 5 were not correct.
  • 9 students hypothesized that the sugar would not keep the flowers fresher longer, and 5 were correct that it did not keep them fresher and 4 were incorrect, and the sugar did keep them fresh longer.
Overall, it looks like sugar water wins!! The next time you have fresh cut flowers, remember this tip to keep them fresh longer. Thank you Mrs. Mennicke and our Seventh Grade Scientists.
